By its very nature, marketing helps the communications function by asking the tough questions, understanding needs, determining what’s working and what needs to be altered. By basing its direction on research, it ensures an informed, evidence-based decision-making approach. It is continually evolving, innovative and creative. It is also measured, analyzed and continuously improved.
Because marketing relies heavily on a project management framework and approach, we’re using Deming’s Circle of Quality Control as inspiration and an iron-clad guide to help attendees to think about their marketing as a continuous cycle of improvement and discipline that breeds a healthy marketing culture in our digitally driven, utility-focused marketing efforts.
Let’s maximise the time we have together focusing on how we continuously improve the cycle of marketing through all we do, no matter our role. Let’s talk about outcomes and impacts, not outputs.
