Looking for new ideas to enhance your leadership skills? Draw lessons from leaders across multiple sectors? Maybe even have a hand in shaping the development of tomorrow’s leaders?
The second annual Northern Leadership Summit, sponsored by Canadian Government Executive, is an opportunity to immerse yourself in real conversations with other leaders representing multiple sectors and perspectives. Summit delegates will have the opportunity to experience a world café setting in which they engage in open and creative conversations designed to surface collective knowledge, share ideas and gain a deeper understanding of leadership. And the day will be peppered with fascinating tales of leadership by captivating story tellers.
The event is also an invitation to become conceptual architect in the design and development of a leadership institute. This collective dialogue will fuel a vision for the creation of a leadership centre that will serve the leadership development needs of emerging and future leaders for generations.
This year’s Leadership Summit, October 16-17 at Laurentian University in Sudbury, brings together an exceptional group of leadership experts: Steve M.R. Covey, bestselling author of The Speed of Trust; Jennifer Deal of the Center for Creative Leadership in San Diego; and Steve Paikin, host of TVO’s The Agenda. Hear about the latest research and trends in leadership development from some of North America’s foremost authorities on leadership.
A panel discussion moderated by Steve Paikin will invite leadership experts to engage Summit delegates in a dialogue on the future of leadership development. Panelists include Carolyn Buccongello, VP Human Resources at Microsoft Canada; Kerry Pond, Assistant DM, Centre for Leadership and Learning; and Dr. Rosie Steeves, president of Executive Works.
