Adobe is encouraging public sector organizations to take a big leap into the cloud. At its Digital Government Assembly in Washington this week, the computer software company unveiled Adobe Cloud Solutions for Government, aimed at helping public services create and deliver more dynamic content.

The cloud solutions and other tools are all intended to “transform” citizen experience with online services.

“Creating dynamic content is not just the domain of the private sector,” said John Landwehr, Adobe’s public sector chief technology officer, in a press release. “Citizens and public sector employees expect the government to deliver the same services they use in their daily lives across their smartphone, tablets and PCs. By making our industry-leading digital technologies available to government customers in the cloud, we’re helping them improve citizen engagement while streamlining operations and saving money.”

As an example, the company points to the New Mexico Department of Transportation, which has adopted Adobe Experience Manager to streamline their online presence while more effectively providing content on things like real-time road conditions and construction projects.

“We already knew and trusted Adobe tools, and we found that the Adobe Experience Manager was right for our department,” said Bruce Oakeley, the State’s information systems manage. “We’re excited that Adobe is moving more and more of these technologies to the cloud as it will help public sector organizations like ours streamline costs even further.”
