Having the right talent is critical to delivering right results. But in public sector, government systems are overwhelmingly designed for earlier times which is optimised for a stable group of subject matter experts that doesn’t allow the government to unlock, mobilise or even identify its available talent – regardless of whether that talent is inside or outside the government workforce itself.
As part of Canadian Government Executive’s mandate to contribute to excellence in public sector management, CGE is hosting its the latest CGE Leadership Series breakfast event on Talent Mobilization on February 22. As part of this series, CGE is drilling deeper into issues that command the attention of public sector executives to bring together a unique blend of leadership discussions and open dialogues on key topics that address a wide range of challenges within the public sector.
Presentations will be made by Lauren Hunter from IN.spire Innovation Hub on an alternative public sector talent model, Suzanne Kiani Knight from Deloitte will talk about current human capital trends and how they will impact the public sector employee experience in the coming years and Jodi LeBlanc of the National Managers’ Community in Atlantic Canada will share an employee’s perspective in the world of talent mobilization.
