Canadian Government Executive Media (CGE) and CATAAlliance, Canada’s one voice for innovation lobby group, announced today that they will be teaming up to cross promote events and to further serve the government relations needs and interests of Canada’s technology community.
“This collaborative move benefits both the readership of Canadian Government Executive as well as the community at large as we work together to strengthen innovation leadership and the ability to realize the country’s economic potential,” said John Reid, CEO of CATAAlliance.
“We are elated to have the opportunity to work with CATAAlliance and look forward to building a bright and prosperous relationship together,” said CGE publisher J. Richard Jones. “We have similar objectives and technology and innovation are big areas of concern.”
Jones noted that “CATA’s Cybercrime Summit complements the TechGov Forum, and will now be supported by our sister publishing property Vanguard media since the event is a direct readership fit. While the audiences and speaking objectives may be different, there are many common thread issues. It’s going to make for a very information packed, dynamic three days for all attendees and for both events.”
CGE’s TechGov takes place on Nov 7-8 in Ottawa. CATA will also be hosting their second annual International Policing Cybercrime Summit during the same dates.
“CATA’s mission is to move Canada to 1st place or an A grade in innovation and competitiveness,” Reid said. “By teaming up with CGE, we can better advance our Competitive Innovation Nation Campaign with community defined Core Public Policy Planks in areas such as taxation, finance, talent, advanced security and trade. It’s about leverage, shared interests and values.”
