Canadian Government Executive Media, (CGE) publisher of Canadian Government Executive magazine presents their 6th annual Executive Leadership Summit, coined TechGov Leadership Forum 2018. This event will take place on January 29 and 30 at the Shaw Centre in Ottawa.
The TechGov Leadership Forum focuses on executive leadership. It takes on the challenge of how to strategically and seamlessly link the worlds of open government, policy, and citizen-centered services while leveraging proven technologies strategies.
TechGov Leadership Forum provides an interactive experience connecting public sector executives with the opportunity to learn policy strategies, from industry knowledge experts and thought leaders about the challenges they are facing today and will in the future.
“The need to manage for results is very top of mind for government executives,” said J. Richard Jones, group publisher CGE. “Let’s face it, the transition taking place to digital government is one of the biggest challenges since the introduction of the internet, not to leave out managing workplace transition and finding solutions for the knowledge gap between new young professionals and seasoned public sector executives. At this event, executives will take away solutions and learn how to implement them with specific steps and actions they can apply immediately to successfully do their jobs better.”
Digital, Open Government, Big Data, AI, Blockchain, Machine Learning and Digital Government and the implications for our public service world are also predominantly in the forefront of today’s senior public sector executives thinking. Simultaneously, there is an important transformation in the way we are developing public policy and engaging with citizens and stakeholders.
“Canadian Government Executive Media’s (CGE) mission for over twenty years continues to contribute to excellence in public sector management,” said George Ross, editor-in-chief of CGE. “TechGov Leadership Forum further builds on CGE’s commitment to helping public sector executives learn, engage and dialogue about the biggest leadership challenges and the event is a seamless fit with our mission and broadens our depth to the market we serve.”
The forum will offer four key themes: Open Government, Policy Futures, Digital Transformation and Cyber Security, delivered in the format of keynote addresses, interactive seminars, case studies and plenary sessions.
“January is a time of implementing new ideas for the year 2018 and TechGov Leadership Forum will be presented by highly notable government and private sector professionals that are well documented in public sector government,” Jones added. Executive leaders will have the opportunity to participate in a networking and engaging environment with select ground-breaking professionals and their peers.
