KPMG Canada, in partnership with Microsoft Canada, is launching an advanced training initiative focused on Copilot for Microsoft 365, an AI-enhanced assistant embedded within Microsoft 365 applications. This announcement was made during KPMG’s event, “The Daily Life of Tomorrow with Copilot,” held in Montreal on June 10, which gathered experts in generative AI from across the country. This program is designed to enable organizations to maximize the potential of Copilot.
Copilot is poised to revolutionize workplace efficiency by speeding up content creation, managing emails, documents, chats, meetings, and contacts, and automating routine tasks to significantly enhance productivity.
”For many organizations, this technology is a way to increase productivity and fill the labor gap. However, only a few manage to leverage it to its full potential and functionality, leading to missed opportunities for innovation, growth, and competitive advantage,” says Benoit Lacoste Bienvenue, Regional Managing Partner, Québec region, KPMG in Canada.
He adds: ”A significant proportion of technology transformation initiatives don’t succeed, largely because of the inability to effectively handle the human aspects of change, which is essential for successful technological transformation. Copilot enables a whole new way of working that involves technology and people. It’s a muscle that must be developed. This is where our training program comes in.”
The program features comprehensive, self-directed bilingual training modules tailored to guide professionals in effectively implementing Copilot for Microsoft 365. These modules provide foundational training applicable across various industries and user groups, ensuring that diverse users can seamlessly integrate Copilot into their everyday activities.
“Building an AI culture within an organization, including training and allowing for experimentation, will help employees embrace AI in their everyday workflow,” explains Michel Biron, Public Sector Director for Eastern Canada, Microsoft. “The time saved by using Copilot can be redirected towards higher-value tasks, helping to optimize productivity gains and improve job satisfaction.”
Delivered online across Canada in both English and French, the training is available through the Operational Risk Skills Development Center, a collaborative effort by KPMG Canada and Microsoft Canada launched late last year. The Centre offers practical training at no cost, helping professionals from businesses and government sectors navigate the complexities and opportunities presented by generative AI, implement it responsibly, and bolster cybersecurity measures.
The new Copilot for Microsoft 365 training will expand on the Centre’s existing offerings, which include generative AI courses for C-Suite executives and board members, as well as cybersecurity training for leaders of small and medium-sized enterprises.
