TechGov Executive Leadership Forum announces Michael Wernick as Keynote Speaker

Michael Wernick

Canadian Government Executive is honoured to have Michael Wernick, Clerk of the Privy Council and Secretary to the Cabinet as Keynote Speaker for TechGov Forum 2018. This two-day conference which will be held in Ottawa on January 29 and 30 will provide a platform to discover challenges, opportunities, technology advancements and innovations for the government and public sector in the rapidly evolving world.

Michael Wernick was appointed Clerk of the Privy Council and Secretary to the Cabinet in January 2016. He has been a member of the Deputy Minister community for 16 years and a public servant for 36 years.

In 2012, Mr. Wernick received the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal.

“TechGov Forum will bring together leaders, experts and visionaries across government and industry, so they can exchange concerns, ideas and solutions. It’s truly a unique learning opportunity that will provide valuable answers as well,” said John Jones, CGE media and Group Publisher. “The keynote from Michael Wernick will set the vision for Digital, Engagement and Innovation to better serve Canadians,” he added.

The forum will offer five key themes: Digital Transformation, Open Government and Citizen Engagement, Innovation for Results, Service Delivery and Technology and Change Management, delivered in the format of keynote addresses, interactive seminars, case studies and plenary sessions.
