Canadian Government Executive media (CGE) announced today that Lori Turnbull has been appointed Deputy Editor of the publication. She will bring experience and a dynamic skill set to CGE from her work as a professor at Dalhousie University teaching political science as a faculty member since 2005, as well as being the Interim Director of the School of Public Administration and a fellow at the Public Forum Policy.
“CGE magazine occupies a unique and very necessary space for delving into the critical issues that public servants deal with every day. I’m thrilled to be part of the CGE team and am grateful to George for his leadership,” said Turnbull.
Turnbull’s work has been published in the Canadian Public Administration journal, the Canadian Political Science Review, the Journal of Parliamentary and Political Law, and How Ottawa Spends. She has also been a regular contributor for CGE and is a welcomed addition to the newly created position of Deputy Editor.
“There is no shortage of pertinent topics and matters of debate that need to be explored and digested within the public sector,” said J. Richard Jones, President and Group Publisher of Canadian Government Executive media. “Part of Lori’s role will be to get to the heart of the matter with regards to these issues and to engage and inspire our readers to do their jobs better.”
You can look forward to her detailed and insightful coverage of the latest information across the nation related to strategic management and opinion.
“Professor Turnbull is one of Canada’s most respected voices on public sector issues, and our readers will truly benefit from her enhanced role with CGE. I’m excited to have the opportunity to work with her to shape Canada’s dialogue on matters facing our public sector,” said George Ross, Editor-in-Chief of Canadian Government Executive media.
Ross will remain in his position and continue to oversee the advisory board and content strategy.
